March 29, 2008

bar code is what we usually see in the market or in almost all products that

we purchase and do you know that Norman Joseph Woodland and Bernard Silver are often credited as the original inventors of the bar code, which they patented on October 20,1949. though Woodland and Silver pioneered the concept of a symbol and a reader, it was not until 1974 that the first uniform product code (UPC) barcode was actually used in a supermarket.
