Lithium-ion Batteries to Invade Electric Cars
consumers will soon be able to use lithium-ion batteries even in their electric cars. Valence Technology, a United States-based firm has introduced Saphion lithium-ion battery for hybrid cars. Saphion boasts of the same energy-packed property of lithium-ion batteris used widely by mobile devices, without the hazards of cobalt oxide, which is highly explosive when punctured.
