wind as an energy source

April 16, 2008

Wind energy is one of the cleanest forms of energy. Scientists want to propel the use of wind energy by creating floating wind farms with windmills 15,000 feet in the air.

Reports reveal that wind energy supplies 0.1 percent of the world’s electricity, but this number is expected to rise with wind energy output growing 30 percent yearly. Sadly, the winds don’t always blow and may prove unreliable to produce constant electricity. Taking it further up, however, where winds blow much stronger and more consistently, can solve the problem.
