up!

November 27, 2008

alright! if yesterday was a bad day for me well, today made up everything.aside from mr.sun is already up,my elder brother was called up for a job interview from one of the most prestigious company here in the Philippines and it’s actually his second interview.the first one was during his exam which he actually did not expect and he was not on a proper outfit for an interview.he was only in his casual jeans and shirt attire.he even did not expect that he will be called again.

so they were five who were called for a second interview and the funny thing was that it was like a screening because they were told to do something like a practical test for their field and i wish my brother did it well and right.i just feel so much happy now and proud that my brother reached these far although he’s not accepted yet.we are hoping now that this blessing will continue and that my brother will now have his first and permanent job becuase it’s just time that he will have his own job.

God answered my prayers and i am so much thankful about eveything whether it be good or bad.because i believe that everything has a purpose and that He knows everything for us.emoticon

let me call it a bad day!

November 26, 2008

i haven’t received what i was expecting yesterday.very disappointing…emoticon…it was supposed to be today but they postponed it until Friday again.i don’t want to expect anymore.i just have to wait when are they giving it to me. it is the only thing that i depend now in case of my needs.i have a lot plans for that something and though it’s just a little something,it can already fulfill great needs.

aside from that,our bird died!!!emoticon

another, my parents are not in good terms now i don’t know why because they do not talk and it seemed like they are avoiding each other…

i hope it will be just this day and everything will be fine tomorrow especially regarding my parents.i am an optimistic person and i don’t take things and complications a big deal.just relax and have faith that everything are just challenges and that we will overcome them all…emoticon

once in a lifetime experience

October 27, 2008
what a day of fun and excitement! we went on an island tour in Samal,Philippines with our relatives. and guess what,it was a whole lot of experience. for the first time, i had been with nature and under water exploration.

isn’t it just so nice to be with nature and feel like you are being blessed with more than what you are expecting.when you get there, you would really realized that life is worth living. you would discover that there is much to discover beyond what we see. not only the pollution in the city, the traffic, the malls and all the noises.

i experienced snorkeling and be with the fishes and corals under a deep sea. walking over a white sand with coconut trees that gives shades and the ambiance of an ocean breeze.

anyone who reads this, just imagine yourselves being in a place that is like a paradise and feel like it is your last.

*note:i haven’t got the pictures yet but i’m sure i’ll have it here soon.

luckily born…

September 25, 2008

i wonder how people feel today about their lives or what they are thinking about anything.

since i was born,i already felt lucky about how i was made. i think that i was made perfect of my imperfections.  a lot of people loved me and cared for me ever since i got out from my mother’s womb - my aunties and uncles…

i specially feel perfect whenever there are people whom i can live with…those who are not careless and tidy…

isn’t it a nice feeling having people around you who can live with you??? so let’s not take them for granted and show them back how we care for them…

Sunday Rest

May 10, 2008

Tomorrow is again a day for church. Human life has a rhythm of work and rest. Through the Lord’s Day (Sunday), everyone has a chance to enjoy adequate rest and leisure to cultivate our familial, cultural, social and religious lives.

All Christians avoid making unnecessary demands on others that would hinder their observing Sunday rest. Traditional activities (sports, restaurants, etc.) require some people to work on Sundays, but everyone should still take care to set aside sufficient time for leisure, avoiding excesses. (Catechism of the Catholic Church, nos. 2184, 2187)

put more romance into your marriage

April 24, 2008

according to drs. sari harrar and rita demaria in their book 7 Stages of Marriage, the fourth stage is called the cooperation stage. this usually happens to those who have been happily married for more than five years, have dynamic professional careers, have busy schedules and money management is a big issue. because of all these, how then do you keep romance alive? check this out:

  • schedule regular date nights. however important your home and work schedules may be, your time alone with your spouse is even more so. so keep that date!
  • ask and communicate. don’t take your other half for granted just because you’ve been together for a long time. keep your communication line open, asking each other how you both are ("how’s your love tank?" for example). this will keep you both happy with each other.
  • do the things you used to do. go  back to the things you used to do during the early stages of your relationship. enkindle the fires of early romance and keep it burning.
  • get away from the hustle. a weekend alone with your spouse, or even just a night, will be a great help towards adding spark to your marriage.
  • date at home. there are pockets of child-free times when the kids are out or in school. use these times to be together.

when you do these suggestions, make sure you focus on each other, not on children, the finances, etc. get to know each other again and be surprised anew at this great gift of a person just waiting for you to discover.

productive summer for your kids

April 22, 2008

are your kids on a loose end this summer? why don’t you teach them to do a little business on the side? or if they don’t have the inclination to be the next child millionaire, start them off by earning extra cash with some of these ideas:

  • bake sale. teach her a simple cookie or cake recipe (there are no-bake recipes at supermarkets) and sell these items at the church yard or in front of your house. or let her prepare a flyer to distribute to friends and family.
  • summer jobs. some companies have summer job openings. let your child check out the company he’s interested in working for and let him apply.
  • school job. your kid’s school might even have an opening this summer for him or her. ask and you might be surprised at the answer.
  • hire him yourself. you might have some housework you’ve been meaning to do for a long time but has never had the time to do. why not hire you own child? this will give you a chance to teach job responsibilty in a practical way, and to observe how he uses money. (parentingtweens.suite101.com)
